On December 6, at the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum in Beijing, the traditional spinning, dyeing and embroidery skills of the Li ethnic group ushered in the "first show" after the "transfer list".
On the same day, the "Li Brocade Cluster-Li Nationality Traditional Spinning, Dyeing and Embroidery Preservation Achievement Exhibition" jointly sponsored by China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum and Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism and Culture, Radio, Television and Sports was launched. They comprehensively demonstrate the historical context, technical characteristics, conservation practices and innovative development of the Li nationality's traditional spinning, dyeing and embroidery skills.
On December 5, the 19th regular session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO held in Asuncion, Paraguay, decided to transfer the traditional weaving, dyeing and embroidery skills of the Li ethnic group from the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Protection to the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
As the "first show" after the "transfer list", the exhibition consists of four units, "Baihui Qianhua", "Jingwei Jiyi", "Wozhi Chengquan" and "Chaoqi Hainan", fully presenting the beauty of Li brocade, demonstrating the achievements of intangible cultural heritage protection in Hainan Province, and promoting the creative transformation and innovative development of intangible cultural heritage in the new era.

The background color of Ha dialect clothing is generally dark blue, the coat of Qi dialect clothing has no collar, the back embroidery, the Run dialect has a "V" collar, the Meifu dialect clothing adds a "back shoulder cloth" on the back of the shoulder, and the long skirt of Sai dialect uses jacquard technology. A number of Li brocade costumes on display show the differences between the five major dialect areas.
There are also "living" exhibition forms such as non-genetic bearers demonstration, and a ship-shaped house is built to move the life scenes of the Li people into the exhibition hall. Walking in the exhibition hall, a number of non-genetic inheritors and Li ethnic weavers demonstrated the spinning, dyeing, weaving and embroidery skills of Li brocade. The visitors stopped to watch and occasionally sighed, paying tribute to the inheritance and innovation of these ancient skills.
"The traditional spinning, dyeing and embroidery technique of Li nationality has a unique national art style." Mr. Chen, the audience member, said that for the northern audience, there are great geographical and cultural differences in the traditional spinning, dyeing and embroidery skills of the Li nationality. He especially appreciated the Li weaving women in the inheritance of traditional skills at the same time into modern elements, so that Li brocade not only the precipitation of history, but also the sense of fashion. He believes that this intangible cultural heritage of Li nationality can transcend time and space and be understood and loved by more people.
In the exhibition hall, Ms. Xu, the Shandong audience, carefully watched the various Li brocade costumes displayed in the showcase. She said that she had met Li brocade when traveling in Hainan, and now had the opportunity to get to know Li brocade closely and deeply, which made her very fascinated, and she looked forward to having the opportunity to learn to knit Li brocade in Hainan.
In addition, the exhibition also exhibited a variety of innovative Li brocade cultural and creative products, Li brocade fashion clothing, and demonstrated the achievements of Hainan Province's "intangible cultural heritage into the campus", the inheritance and development of Li brocade skills in major universities, traditional craft workstations in cities and counties, and the protection of Li brocade in 9 cities and counties.
The relevant person in charge of Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism and Culture, Radio, Television and Sports introduced that the exhibition demonstrated the achievements of Hainan's traditional spinning, dyeing and embroidery skills for protecting and inheriting the Li nationality over the years, and at the same time let more people understand the traditional spinning, dyeing and embroidery skills of Li nationality.
It is understood that the exhibition will be displayed in Hall 11 on the 6th floor of the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum until January 5 next year, and then return to Hainan to continue the exhibition until after the Spring Festival. (Reporter Liu Xiaohui)
