On September 17, the reporter learned from the Haikou entry-exit Border Inspection General Station that the "cross-border tour" market in our province continued to heat up. The number of people entering and leaving Hainan reached 16,000 during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, an increase of 85% over the same period last year. The average daily number of people entering and leaving Hainan exceeded 5,900, and the daily peak of entry and exit exceeded 7,600, and the entry-exit passenger flow at various ports ushered in a "two-way rush".

In order to cope with the peak of passenger flow during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, Haikou Border Inspection Terminal announced the forecast and countermeasures of passenger flow peak in time. They have strengthened coordination and interaction with joint inspection units at ports, monitored changes in passenger flow in real time, rationally arranged the police on duty, strengthened on-site service organization, opened inspection channels in advance, added on-site identification guidelines, implemented border inspection measures for convenience, minimized the waiting time of passengers, and ensured smooth and orderly customs clearance at ports.

According to Rao Jun, deputy director of the border inspection Department of Haikou Border Inspection General Station, with the gradual release of the superimposed effect of visa-free entry for 59 countries and 144-hour visa-free entry for foreign tourist groups from Hong Kong and Macao, and the continued restoration of encryption on Hainan's international routes, the number of foreign tourists coming to Hainan for tourism, cultural exchanges and business negotiations has increased significantly.

Since the beginning of this year, the Haikou Border Inspection Terminal has inspected more than 1.32 million inbound and outbound passengers, of which 648,000 inbound and 672,000 outbound passengers have been inspected, an increase of nearly five times year-on-year, and the number of visa-free foreign tourists has increased by about eight times year-on-year.
