China (Sanya) Cruise and yacht Industry Innovation Alliance was established

China (Sanya) Cruise and Yacht Industry Innovation Alliance was recently established in Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City. Wuhan University of Technology is the chairman unit of the alliance, and seven units, including China Ship and Yacht Innovation Service Center and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., LTD., are the vice chairman units of the alliance.

Supported by the concept of technological innovation and collaborative development, the alliance will serve the development of the whole life cycle and the whole industry chain of China's cruise yachts, meet the needs of the people's water culture and entertainment, and promote the construction of Sanya into a national cruise yacht technology innovation highland and industrial demonstration base.

Wu Weiguo, chairman of China (Sanya) Cruise and Yacht Industry Innovation Alliance and chief professor of the National first-class key discipline of shipbuilding and ocean Engineering of Wuhan University of Technology, said that the alliance will lead the integration of industry resources driven by scientific and technological innovation, promote the coordinated development of cruise and yacht design, manufacturing, supporting and operation, and build an "innovation chain"; They will share technology, talent, resources, capital and other elements to create a cruise yacht "industry chain"; It is necessary to promote the innovation and development of cruise yachts with technology agglomeration, form hundreds of billions of industrial clusters, and realize the "value chain"; To promote the technological synergy and industrial development of Chinese cruise yachts, and build cruise yachts with "Chinese standards and Chinese standards".

Specifically, the alliance will organize joint scientific and technological research, and coordinate member units to give full play to their respective advantages in key technologies of cruise ships and yachts, and carry out collaborative research in key technologies such as new energy, new materials, green, intelligent and design and manufacturing. They will organize the implementation of national and provincial major scientific and technological innovation projects, explore new modes of joint training of composite talents in the cruise and yacht industry, and strive to achieve independent design, independent construction, independent supporting and independent operation of cruise and yacht. The alliance will explore the construction of cruise and yacht industrial park, gather related supporting enterprises, promote the industrialization of cruise and yacht, aquatic complex, sports equipment, etc., and build an intellectual property trading center covering the whole industry chain of cruise and yacht.

It is reported that the cruise and yacht industry in Sanya has developed rapidly in recent years. In the first quarter of this year, Sanya International cruise passenger throughput ranked among the top three in the country for the first time. At present, there are more than 1,400 registered yachts in the city, and 1,068 water berths have been built, ranking first in the country. They are making every effort to build the yacht industry "world-class yacht tourism consumption center", "internationally renowned yacht exhibition and trading center" and "the world's leading yacht innovation service center".
