Lingao will hold more than 30 activities to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Hainan

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Hainan. Lingao County will launch over 30 commemorative activities under the theme of "Carrying Forward the Red Bloodline and Inheriting the Spirit of Seizing the Beach".

Relying on red landmarks such as Hainan Liberation Park, Lingao has innovatively launched the "Re-walking Across the Sea Landing Confrontation Simulation Battle" real-scene experience project. Participants can wear equipment from the Liberation War period and experience battle scenes in sections such as beachhead attack and defense and trench assault. Combining Dongying International Slow City Characteristic Resources to create the "Bury the Pot to Make Rice Remember the Glorious Days" Red Military picnic activity, visitors can experience the hardships of the revolution through digging the stove, making a fire, cooking in the battlefield and other labor ‌. The "Revisiting the Red Road, Marching Forward on a New Journey" hiking event, which ends at Hainan Liberation Park, connects eight red sites including Lingaojiao Lighthouse, and the Lingaojiao Lighthouse History Exhibition Hall, which opens simultaneously, uses holographic projection technology to recreate the glorious years of the Qiongya Revolution "23 years with the Red Flag Flying High" ‌.

In addition, the "Fighting on the Island, Red Flags Flying High" themed touring exhibition, guided by the Provincial Committee's Institute of Party History, publicly displayed 42 precious cultural relics for the first time, including the manuscripts of the sea-crossing operation. The "Years Leave Traces, Lingao Memories" photo exhibition has collected over 2,000 historical photographs, among which the "Centenarians' Photos" project records the resonance of individual destinies and the changes of The Times through oral history videos‌.
