Disabled children aged 0 to 17 in Hainan who are in training without a certificate can apply for accidental injury insurance

The Disabled Persons' Federation of Hainan Province and the People's Insurance Company (Property) of China, LTD. Hainan Branch recently officially signed the "Service Agreement for Accidental Injury Insurance Project". Starting from May 1st, comprehensive accidental injury insurance coverage has been provided for disabled children aged 0 to 17 in Hainan Province who are participating in rehabilitation training but have not yet obtained a disability certificate, filling the gap of accidental injury insurance for disabled children aged 0 to 17 in training without a certificate in our province.

This insurance plan is divided into three levels, providing differentiated protection for disabled children with different civil capacity. The first and second levels cover liability for accidental death, disability, medical expenses and hospitalization allowances, with a maximum coverage of 50,000 yuan (accidental disability for those without civil capacity), and include coverage for 28 major diseases. The maximum compensation for supplementary medical expenses during a single hospitalization is 1,200 yuan. The third level adds supplementary inpatient medical insurance benefits and sudden death liability, with a cumulative compensation limit of 150,000 yuan and a sudden death coverage of 25,000 yuan per person.

The agreement also requires PICC Property & Casualty Hainan Branch to provide efficient claims services, adopt the "anonymous insurance application" form, simplify procedures and proof materials, etc.

A relevant official from the provincial Disabled Persons' Federation introduced that the federation will supervise the implementation of insurance services throughout the process, continuously meet the growing risk prevention needs of the disabled, do a good job in all aspects of work related to the disabled with care, sincerity and effort, and actively promote the all-round development of the cause for the disabled.
