An international air route from Sanya to Almaty was launched

On October 11, an Air Astana passenger plane with 157 passengers on board arrived at Sanya Phoenix International Airport from Almaty, Kazakhstan, marking the official arrival of Air Astana in Sanya Airport and the opening of international routes between Sanya and Almaty.

The opening of this route is an important measure for Sanya Airport to actively respond to the national "Belt and Road" Initiative, and also a concrete reflection of the deepening exchanges and cooperation between Sanya and Central Asia. As of October 11, Sanya Airport has operated 24 international (regional) routes this year, completed a total of 3,195 international and regional flights, and guaranteed a total of 439,000 international and regional passenger throughput, an increase of 758.9% and 932.7% respectively, and the overall situation is stable and good.
