In 2023, the comprehensive energy consumption of industrial enterprises above designated size in the province was 16.8144 million tons of standard coal, an increase of 32.6% over the previous year. Among them, the consumption of petroleum processing industry increased by 179.8%, the consumption of chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry increased by 8.3%, the consumption of electricity and heat production and supply industry increased by 19.6%, the consumption of non-metallic mineral products industry decreased by 13.5%, and the consumption of paper and paper products industry decreased by 11.2%.

The total afforestation and greening area in the province throughout the year was 200200 acres. There are 30 species of wild animals listed as first level key protected by the state, and 132 species of wild animals listed as second level key protected by the state; There are 10 species of wild plants listed as first level national key protection, and 117 species of wild plants listed as second level national key protection.

The overall environmental air quality in the province is excellent, with a proportion of 99.5% of excellent days, an increase of 0.8 percentage points year-on-year. Among them, the proportion of excellent days is 83.6%, the proportion of good days is 15.9%, the proportion of mild pollution days is 0.5%, and there are no moderate or above pollution days. The main pollutants PM2.5 concentration is 12 micrograms per cubic meter, PM10 concentration is 23 micrograms per cubic meter, O3 concentration is 108 micrograms per cubic meter, SO2 concentration is 4 micrograms per cubic meter, NO2 concentration is 6 micrograms per cubic meter, and CO concentration is 0.7 milligrams per cubic meter. Compared with 2022, the main pollutant O3 has decreased by 4 micrograms per cubic meter, while the concentrations of PM2.5, PM10, SO2, NO2, and CO remain the same.

The annual increase in urban sewage treatment capacity was 88600 cubic meters per day, 494 kilometers of urban sewage pipeline network were newly added and renovated, the centralized collection rate of urban (county) domestic sewage reached 62.3%, and the coverage rate of sewage treatment facilities in established towns reached 92%. The incineration capacity of household waste reaches 12800 tons/day. Carry out pilot projects for information-based supervision of construction waste, promote full process supervision of construction waste, and achieve a comprehensive utilization rate of 67% for construction waste in the province as of October 2023.
