The Department of Natural Resources and Planning of Hainan Province is a constituent department of the provincial government responsible for the province's natural resources and planning work. It manages the Hainan Provincial Forestry Bureau.

Main responsibilities:

Implement the guidelines and policies of the CPC Central Committee on natural resources and territorial spatial planning, as well as the policies and measures of the China (Hainan) Pilot Free Trade Zone and the Hainan Free Trade Port. Implement the decisions and plans of the provincial Party committee, and adhere to and strengthen the centralized and unified leadership of the Party over natural resources and territorial spatial planning work in the process of performing its duties.
