The Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Hainan Province is a component department of the provincial government in charge of the province's agricultural and rural work. It doubles as the Hainan Provincial Bureau of Rural Revitalization. The responsibilities of the former Provincial Bureau of Rural Revitalization have been incorporated into the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Hainan Province.

Main responsibilities:

Implement the guidelines and policies of the CPC Central Committee regarding work related to agriculture, rural areas, and rural residents as well as the relevant decision-making arrangements of the provincial Party committee, and ensure that the adherence to and strengthening of the centralized and unified leadership of the CPC Central Committee over work related to agriculture, rural areas, and rural residents are implemented in the process of fulfilling its duties.
