Located just 40 kilometers southwest of downtown Sanya, Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone has been known as the most blissful Buddhist land. “Good fortune as vast as the East Sea, long life as great as Nanshan Mountain” is a famous saying that depicts Nanshan as the root of Chinese traditional culture emphasizing auspiciousness and longevity.
With an area of 34.7 square kilometers, the tourism zone is divided into three theme parks: Nanshan Buddhism Culture Park is a window into China’s traditional Buddhist culture; Felicity and Longevity Culture Park reflects an atmosphere of peace, harmony and longevity; and Nanshan Cultural Park highlights China’s diverse social customs.
