Situated at the foothills of Nanshan Mountain and 40 kilometers west of Sanya city, Dongtian Park is to reputed to be “the No 1 scenic spot of Hainan Island over the past 800 years” for its unique mixture of ancient history, coastal scenery, folk customs and recreational activities.
Growing in the foothills are 30,000 ancient pine trees, some of which are at least 5,000 or 6,000 years old. They intertwine with each other like elderly people sitting cross-legged. These living fossils, together with historic traces of Taoism in the park, express the best wishes: to live as long as the old pines of Nanshan Mountain.
Little Moon Bay, nestled beside the sea and against a turtle-shaped mountain, is like a crescent moon extending along the coast with natural vegetation. This serene location promises a pristine environment and tranquil atmosphere, providing a breathtaking backdrop of unspoiled nature.
It is a natural oxygen bar with an aeroanion concentration ranging from 8,000 to 10,000 per cubic centimeter.

Besides its breathtaking natural scenery, the resort offers wedding photography as well as a variety of leisure and water activities.
Sanya Natural History Museum, another of the park’s key attraction, is the only nature museum in China’s southernmost island province. The museum depicts the remains of ancient life from 140 million years ago, mainly dinosaur fossils. Over 2,000 specimens, including 800 national high-quality ones, are displayed in the pavilions.
