Ⅰ. Positions               
1. Job title:English teacher (English for Academic Purposes, or EAP)

Based at the Binhai campus in the Li'an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone in the Lingshui Li autonomous region in Hainan province — with possible semester assignments at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China or UESTC’s main Qingshuihe campus in Chengdu in Sichuan province for training, teaching and exchanges.

Ⅱ. Key responsibilities
1. Take charge of the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses for undergraduates, covering content on academic writing, critical reading, academic presentations and seminars.
2. Actively participate in research activities of the curriculum team, assist in the upgrading and reform of teaching programs, materials and assessment systems.
3. Participate in other academic activities, research and curriculum innovation projects.
4. Help students in their extracurricular activities, such as IELTS coaching and guidance for studies abroad.
5. Assist the college and teaching group with related academic and administrative tasks.

Ⅲ. Qualifications and requirements
(1) Basic requirements
1. Be committed to the national education policy.
2. Be law-abiding, ethical, physically and mentally healthy, have strong professional ethics, teamwork spirit and dedication.

(2) Professional qualification requirements
1. Must have a master’s degree or above from a well-recognized university in English Language and Literature, Applied Linguistics, TESOL, Education (English focus) or a closely related field.
2. Must have TEM-8 certificate or other internationally recognized proof of equivalent language proficiency (e.g., high-level interpretation certificate, IELTS 8.0+, TOEFL 110+).
3. TEFL, CELTA, DELTA or other international English teaching certification is a plus.
4. Prior experience in university-level English teaching, especially in EAP/ESP or standardized test preparation (IELTS/TOEFL) is a plus.
5. Must have strong sense of responsibility and work ethics, be able to deliver teaching duties with quality and reliability.
6. Must have excellent learning ability, innovative mindset and a commitment to ongoing professional growth.
7. Must be able to adapt to technology trends in teaching; experience of using AI tools to support teaching, research or course development is a plus.

Ⅳ. Remuneration and benefits
Pay range is open to negotiation based on position, capability and relevant experience.

2. Qualification review: The university will review the applicant's materials. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified for the further assessment. Unqualified applicants may not be contacted.

4. There will be a period of public notice of the successful candidates before contract signing and onboarding. The new hires will be subject to a probation period.
