The scholarship covers tuition fees, related activity expenses, accommodation fees and comprehensive medical insurance. Other expenses are borne by the students themselves.

The Hainan Provincial Government International Student Scholarship is open to applicants worldwide, with no nationality restrictions.

Applicants must be students pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degrees. Language (non—degree) students are not eligible.

Applicants must first pass the Chinese Government Chinese Proficiency Test Level 4 (HSK4) and obtain the HSK4 certificate before applying for the scholarship.

Scholarship recipients may not simultaneously receive other Chinese government scholarships.

The application period is from January to April each year.
