Over 30 foreign journalists on trip to discover Hainan

Over a short stay of three days, more than 30 journalists from around the world gathered in Hainan, searching for an answer to the question: Just what makes Hainan province so special.

They walked across Hainan — through tech parks, duty-free malls, ports, hospitals, fruit farms and car test courses.

During the short trip, they interviewed a Belgian CEO chasing dreams and a patient finding hope without leaving home. A Korean journalist has already started planning her next trip.

In the world's largest duty-free mall, they were so focused on filming and interviewing, trying to present their readers with an awe-inspiring picture they were witnessing.
