The launch of island-wide special customs operations in the Hainan Free Trade Port has significantly enhanced the liberalization and facilitation of trade, making international connectivity more convenient than ever, said Liu Jieyi, spokesman for the fourth session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, at a recent news conference in Beijing. As a frontier for global trade transformation, the Hainan FTP is comprehensively reshaping industrial value chains by implementing the RCEP agreement, promoting duty-free policies for value-added processing and building high-efficiency maritime hubs.

Whether in advanced manufacturing, deep processing, or the global sales of local specialties, every policy dividend is being translated into tangible growth for businesses. The spokesman added that China was demonstrating its unwavering commitment to expanding high-level opening-up through Hainan — injecting more positive energy and certainty into global development by promoting the liberalization and facilitation of trade and investment.
