The Hainan pavilion has easily become one of the most popular destinations for overseas visitors at the China International Supply Chain Expo in Beijing, attracting business representatives from Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Central Asia eager to explore opportunities being offered by the Hainan Free Trade Port.

Aleksandra Ruszkowska, from the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, visited the Hainan pavilion after missing an earlier investment promotion event in Beijing.

Seeking easier access for Polish companies entering the Chinese market, she received detailed briefings on the FTP's preferential policies — including the zero-tariff policy, value-added processing tax exemptions and customs arrangements.

"I've been to Hainan before and knew it was a beautiful place. After learning more about the free trade port policies, I now have a much deeper understanding of the opportunities there," Ruszkowska said.

She exchanged contact information with pavilion staff to pave the way for future business.

According to bilingual interpreters at the Hainan pavilion, visitors from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Turkiye, Indonesia, Kazakhstan and Australia have visited the exhibition throughout the event. Some came with specific investment inquiries, while others were interested in learning more about the overall development of the FTP.

Elsewhere in the Hainan exhibition area, exhibitors showcased products and services ranging from healthcare technologies and coffee to international trade platforms.

The Dehang Group displayed products from South Africa, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, South Korea and Hainan, while introducing its integrated trade platform that helps small and medium-sized enterprises expand into overseas markets. The company also arranged business matchmaking between representatives from Kazakhstan and Belgium during the expo.

At the stand run by Fuyao Xingmei (Hainan) Technology Co Ltd, a Malaysian visitor tested the company's titanium alloy AI-powered digital hearing aid and expressed interest in introducing the product to his country's aging population. The visitor took a sample device and invited the company to explore using local distribution partners.

Hainan Xinglong coffee also attracted a lot of international visitors. Cuban healthcare professionals sampled locally produced coffee while learning about the brand. Company representatives said that coffee has become an effective medium for cultural exchanges and business communications.

From Poland and Cuba to Kazakhstan and Malaysia, international visitors left the Hainan pavilion with new business connections and a better understanding of the opportunities being created by the Hainan Free Trade Port.
