Leveraging the secure and orderly data flow policy in the Hainan Free Trade Port, Dun & Bradstreet, a leading global provider of business decision-making data and analytics, established Hainan Dun & Bradstreet Data Technology Co Ltd in Haikou, the capital of Hainan province, in 2022. This marks another expansion for Dun & Bradstreet in China following their presence in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing.

Founded in 1841, Dun & Bradstreet utilizes global data capabilities to help customers increase revenue, reduce costs, control risks and achieve digital transformation. It has served more than 200,000 customers in over 200 countries and regions.

In July 2022, Dun & Bradstreet formed a wholly-owned subsidiary in Haikou Fullsing Internet Industrial Park to actively engage in Hainan's digital economy growth. The company aims to develop the Dun & Bradstreet Global Cloud (Hainan) node, enabling easier access to global data through the Hainan node.

A year later, the company intensified its local R&D endeavors and introduced an ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) solution. Notably, it became the first enterprise in Hainan to pass the national Cyberspace Administration of China's assessment on data outbound security. This achievement is expected to aid the company in expanding its Dun & Bradstreet coded business information services and provide valuable insights for other enterprises undergoing data outbound security evaluations.

According to the company, as of March Hainan Dun & Bradstreet has provided coding and registration services for nearly 70,000 domestic enterprises and offered data processing services to over 210,000 companies in Hong Kong.

"Hainan holds strategic importance for us in the medium to long term, and we have consistently operated Hainan as one of the dual central headquarters of Dun & Bradstreet China," said Liu Pei, vice-president of Business and head of Strategic Development for Dun & Bradstreet China.

According to Liu, the company was selected in March as one of the first pilot enterprises for value-added telecommunications services by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The company also plans to establish a supply chain evaluation service center in Hainan.
