This guide provides essential information to investors on applying for approval to establish foreign-invested cinemas in Hainan.

Basic requirements
The applicant shall have a name and articles of association for the film screening entity.

The applicant shall have a clearly defined business scope.

The applicant shall have an organizational structure and professional personnel appropriate to its business scope.

The applicant shall have funds, premises and equipment appropriate to its business scope.

Required materials
1. Application form for the Film Screening Business License;
2. Business license;
3. Proof of ownership of the premises;
4. Lease agreement of the premises;
5. Written opinion on fire safety approval for the commencement of use or operation of public gathering venues;
6. Public Place Hygiene Permit;
7. Floor plan of the internal layout of the premises;
8. Identification documents of the legal representative.
