This guide provides essential information to foreign individuals and organizations in Hainan on applying for approval to conduct field surveys of, or engage in filming and recording activities involving nationally protected aquatic wildlife in China.
Basic requirements
The proposed activities shall comply with the laws and regulations of China relating to the protection and management of aquatic wildlife.
Chinese partner organizations shall participate in the proposed activities.
The activities shall not cause harm to nationally protected aquatic wildlife or damage their habitats.
The activities shall not be conducted for commercial purposes.
The proposed activities shall not involve any intellectual property disputes.
Required materials
1. Application report for the proposed survey or activity;
2. Application form for approval for foreigners to conduct surveys of rare and endangered aquatic wildlife in China;
3. Cooperation agreement for the joint survey conducted by Chinese and foreign parties.
