This guide provides essential information to foreign nationals on applying for approval to conduct field investigations of nationally protected wild plants under the administration of agricultural and rural authorities in China.

Basic requirements
The purpose of the field investigations shall be limited to scientific research or tourism.

The proposed investigation area shall not be located in any area prohibited by the State or within a military-controlled area.

The applicants shall agree to accept the supervision and administration of the local agricultural and rural authority.

The proposed investigations shall not endanger the habitat of the protected species or result in the loss of wild plant resources.

The applicants shall possess all approval documents required under applicable laws and regulations.

1. Application form for field investigations of nationally protected wild plants under the administration of agricultural and rural authorities by foreigners in China;
2. Project documents for the field investigations;
3. Passport.
