This guide provides essential information to Hong Kong and Macao law firms and mainland law firms in Hainan on applying for cancellation of an approved partnership association.

Basic requirements
The applicant shall be a partnership association law firm previously approved for establishment between a Hong Kong or Macao law firm and a mainland law firm in Hainan and shall complete the required termination and deregistration procedures in accordance with applicable regulations.

Required materials
1. Application for cancellation of the partnership association;
2. Partner resolutions of all participating parties approving termination of practice of the partnership association law firm;
3. Supporting materials relating to the public announcement of termination;
4. Liquidation audit report;
5. Supporting documents evidencing cancellation of tax registration;
6. Supporting documents evidencing closure of the basic bank account;
7. Supporting documents evidencing collection and destruction of official seals;
8. Original and duplicate copies of the practicing license of the partnership association law firm.
