This guide provides essential information to foreign investors on applying for approval to establish artistic performance groups in Hainan under a Chinese majority ownership structure.

Basic requirements
The applicant shall comply with the relevant requirements set out in the Regulations on the Administration of Commercial Performances.

The artistic performance group shall complete registration procedures in accordance with the law, obtain a business license and complete the required approval procedures in accordance with applicable laws and administrative regulations relating to fire safety, public health and other regulatory requirements.

Required materials
1. Application registration form for artistic performance groups;
2. Approval certificate or filing certificate for the foreign-invested enterprise;
3. Identification documents (such as a passport) and the resume of the legal representative or the principal person in charge;
4. Proof of ownership of the operating premises or lease agreement;
5. Supporting documents evidencing the artistic performance ability of performers;
6. Written declaration confirming the availability of equipment and facilities appropriate for the performance events.
