Guide to application for registration approval of Class I Registered Fire Engineers

This guide provides essential information to applicants on applying for registration approval as Class I Registered Fire Engineers.

Basic requirements
1. The applicant shall have lawfully obtained the qualification certificate of Class I Registered Fire Engineer.

2. The applicant shall be employed by one fire technical service institution or one key fire safety unit and serve as a technical director, project director or fire safety manager.

3. The applicant shall not fall under any of the following circumstances:
(1) The applicant does not possess full capacity for civil conduct or is over 70 years of age;
(2) The applicant seeks registration with an entity other than a fire technical service institution or a key fire safety unit, or applies for registration with more than one fire technical service institution or key fire safety unit;
(3) The applicant is still serving a criminal penalty, or less than five years have elapsed between completion of the criminal penalty imposed for unlawful professional practice and the date of application;
(4) The applicant has not fulfilled the continuing education or professional practice requirements;
(5) Less than three years have elapsed between the revocation of registration due to violations specified in Article 50 of the Provisions on the Administration of Registered Fire Engineers and the date of application;
(6) Less than three years have elapsed between cancellation of registration due to unlawful professional practice under Item 2 of Article 55, Article 56 or Article 57 of the Provisions on the Administration of Registered Fire Engineers and the date of application;
(7) Less than one year has elapsed between cancellation of registration due to unlawful professional practice under Item 1 or Item 3 of Article 55 of the Provisions on the Administration of Registered Fire Engineers and the date of application;
(8) The applicant has been subject to administrative penalties imposed by the fire and rescue authority for unlawful professional practice and has not completed performance of the relevant obligations.
