Basic requirements
Short-term medical practicing by physicians from Hong Kong and Macao in the Chinese mainland and Hainan Island refers to clinical diagnosis and treatment activities carried out in medical institutions in the mainland for a period not exceeding three years.
Physicians from Hong Kong and Macao applying for short-term medical practicing in the mainland and Hainan Island shall comply with applicable employment requirements for Hong Kong and Macao residents in the mainland and Hainan Island and shall be invited and employed by medical institutions in the mainland and Hainan Island possessing independent legal person status.
The practicing registration category for physicians from Hong Kong and Macao applying for short-term medical practicing in the mainland and Hainan Island may fall under one of the following categories: Clinical medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, or stomatology. The scope of practice shall comply with the provisions of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Medical Practitioners and relevant regulations issued by the health authorities.
Physicians from Taiwan refer to physicians who possess lawful qualifications to practice medicine in the Taiwan region.
Short-term medical practicing by physicians from Taiwan in the Chinese mainland and Hainan Island refers to clinical diagnosis and treatment activities carried out in medical institutions in the mainland and Hainan Island for a period not exceeding three years.

Required materials
1. Application form for practice registration for short-term medical practicing in the Chinese mainland and Hainan Island by physicians from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan;
2. Supporting documents evidencing permanent resident status in Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan;
3. Recent front-facing, bareheaded half-length photograph taken within the past six months;
4. Certificate of highest academic qualification in medicine;
5. Practicing license or qualification certificate of physicians from Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan;
6. Health examination certificate;
7. Certificate of no criminal record;
8. Agreement.
