Guide to application for cancellation of registration of Class I Registered Fire Engineers

This guide provides essential information to applicants on applying for cancellation of registration as a Class I Registered Fire Engineer.

Basic requirements
Registration approval authorities shall cancel the registration of a registered fire engineer and recover the registration certificate and practicing seal, or issue public announcements on their invalidation, where any of the following circumstances applies:

1. The applicant does not possess full civil capacity or is over 70 years of age;
2. The applicant applies for cancellation of registration, or fails to apply for renewal registration within three months after expiry of the registration validity period;
3. The registration has been revoked or the registration certificate has been cancelled;
4. During one registration validity period, the applicant has committed one or more of the violations specified in Item 2 of Article 55, Article 56 or Article 57 of the Provisions on the Administration of Registered Fire Engineers, or has committed two or more of the violations specified in Item 1 or Item 3 of Article 55;
5. The applicant has been subject to criminal punishment during the period of practice;
6. The employing entity has entered bankruptcy or dissolution proceedings, has been revoked, or has had its qualification as a fire technical service institution cancelled;
7. The applicant has terminated or ended the employment relationship with the employing entity for more than three months;
8. Other circumstances prescribed by laws or administrative regulations.

A person whose registration has been cancelled may reapply for initial registration after meeting the conditions for initial registration.

Required materials
1. Application form for cancellation of registration of Class I Registered Fire Engineers;
2. Original registration certificate and practicing seal;
3. Supporting documents evidencing termination (or dissolution) of the employment contract with the employing entity;
4. Employment contract entered into with the employing entity.
