Qilou Old Street in Haikou, Hainan province, is home to what is currently the largest and best-preserved group of Nanyang-style arcade buildings in China. The surviving arcade buildings witness the prosperity of the commercial port and also record the entrepreneurial history of overseas Chinese merchants and businessmen. The video, through the perspective of Anna, a Polish student studying in China, tells the story of the development and features of the old street in Hainan, immersing viewers in the cultural atmosphere of Hainan and promoting the cultural identity of Hainan Free Trade Port construction.
Hainan University contributed to the story.
