On Jan 13, the first session of the 7th Hainan Provincial People's Congress opened in Haikou, capital city of Hainan province.
Over 300 deputies attended the session, contributing their motions to the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
Shen Xiaoming, Party chief of Hainan and chairman of the Standing Committee of the 7th Hainan Provincial People's Congress, presided over the session.
On behalf of the provincial government, Hainan Governor Feng Fei delivered a government work report.
